Sunspel is a British clothing company and was one of the earliest British companies to export to the Far East. It subsequently built a significant export business across the British Empire. Sunspel developed the Riviera Polo Shirt for James Bond in Casino Royale and produced the underwear for the original Levi 501 advertisement.
THE CHALLENGES
Before Sunspel implemented NetSuite, it had a range of manual and inefficient business processes. It also had a series of disparate systems and data sources and none of these were integrated, which made reporting very difficult. The management of the systems was a struggle without any dedicated IT staff.

Sunspel now operates its entire Manufacturing, Distribution and Retail business with NetSuite. This end-to-end solution includes CRM, Sales Ordering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Accounting and Reporting.

Sunspel is now able to achieve great reporting at the simple touch of a button with access to sales information for numerous different categories, to include for example, product type, style and fabric. The ability to view real-time statistics shows exactly how individual shops are performing right across the business and provides complete visibility of stock. Added to this, is the opportunity to drill down into the specific detail of individual products to provide a breakdown of costs and actual profitability. Importantly they have visibility of forward orders and can control demand through effective procurement.
